Uni Colours

I snapped a couple of photos of what I wore to varsity the other day.
I was just so happy not to be wearing leggings...

I'm wearing one of the most comfortable dresses I own.
The dress is loose fitting which is great for any school day.

I also love the colours on the dress, it brightens up the the outfit which includes a majority of black.

Cool, Cool
Enjoy your day

I Wish...

Source: stockholmstreetstyle.com

I really wish I had this beautiful ASOS laptop case.
I would however, use it as a clutch.
The colour is striking and bold.

I wish brands such as ASOS, Topshop and Zara were available here in SA.
If such brands were available I would probably be bankrupt due to excessive shopping at the stores.

Anyways... I just wanted to share what product I've been day dreaming about!!

Much love

These Streets...

I took a few outfit shots of what I wore the other day...

This outfit contains two of my absolutely favourite colours for clothing which are black and gray.

I'm wearing a basic black tank top, high waisted harem style trousers, a gray leather jacket and my black platform pumps.

Also, I'm wearing an assortment of jewelry that I picked up over time from different markets.

My clutch is thrifted, my bracelet is a gift from my sister my watch and rings have been bought over time from various places including Italy.

I had been on the hunt for black framed 'nerd' glasses.
I finally found some. I really love the way they look and I was contemplating getting my prescription lenses put into these frames but I figured wearing glasses like these all the time might be a little too much...:)

Happy Monday

Animal Kingdom

As I've mentioned before I have a penchant for animal prints.
So... I've decided to display various examples of wearing animal prints.

Source: stockholmstreetstyle.com

I personally feel its better to keep animal prints to a minimal in outfits and allow them to pop.
Too much cheetah print in one outfit can tend to look a little trashy.
Therefore, adding little touches of animal chic to an outfit is best accomplished by incorporating animal print accessories.

The clutch used in the above picture jazzes up a simple black and white ensemble.

This sheer blouse has a feminine and classy style that counterbalances the leopard print.
A blouse like this would have to be worn with a simple black pant to keep the look classy.

Love this skirt! Its cute and chic!!

A leopard print scarf is the best way to accessorise a simple outfit.
I love using mine to keep warm during winter and incorporating a little wildness into my life;)

Enjoy your weekend

Photo Diary: A Day in the City

I went into the city this weekend.

It’s not often that I get to venture out into the inner city of Johannesburg so when my friend Yusrah called me to accompany her to a market I couldn’t refuse.

As you can tell from the photos, this market was big on jewelry.
Most of the bracelets, rings and necklaces were inspired by African and tribal gear, which is really bright and colourful. What I felt was also interesting was that some of the jewelry was made form unique materials such as recycled glass.
One could definitely find some small treasures in the mounds of jewelry and adornments on display.

These were some cool and quaint little sling bags which were hand woven and made from genuine leather. They were so cute!

There were also a few racks of vintage and thrift clothing as well as bags and shoes.

This friendly Rasta felt he had an important message to declare while I took a quick shot of him!

As I’ve already said, I don’t go into the city very much but there is definitely something about ‘town’ that I find so intriguing. I like the hustle and bustle, the noise and the many cars and pedestrians busily carrying on with their day. It’s just something that is so different to the suburbs and I guess is a novelty for me.
I wanted to get a few shots of some buildings which caught my eye.

I wore a simple outfit for walking around.
I love the look of a white tank top, blue jeans and red shoes.
These were worn with a backpack which I purchased a while ago.

Much love,

Turquoise

It was nice and sunny the other day so I figured I would wear a skirt but I took the precaution of wearing tights 'cause I get cold really easily.

I thrifted this turquoise blazer some time ago and it is one of my absoloute favourite items in my closet.
I paired my blazer with a floral skirt, a basic black top, tights and patent leather shoes. These shoes are in fact the first pair of high heels that I ever got years ago.

I'm really into blue coloured jewellry at the moment.
I was really happy to have found this turqouse bracelet at the flea market.

My clutch was purchased for my by my friend Yusrah as a gift.

Shoemania

Every girl loves shoes so I've decided to dedicate an entire post to some fabulous shoes that I wish were mine.

I never used to be very into shoes the way some females are. As I've gotten older I've realised the importance of finding comfortable, edgy and beautiful shoes that bring life to different outfits.

Here are some photos that I found... a girl can dream...

I love these leopard print stilettos, so chic and sexy.

How sick are the heels on these shoes?
These are definately a unique pair of shoes fit only for a true fashionista.

I took a photo of these shoes out of a magazine over a year ago and now I honestly cant remember which brand created them.
They are fabulous though and they remind me of shoes one would wear on an exotic holiday.

These peopard print shoes are YSL and belong to the fabulous Karla Deras.

Stunning studded shoes.

These are pretty basic nude pink pumps.
The heel, however is the special element of the shoe.
So classy!

I don't know if I would wear these shoes in my everyday life but they sure are pretty to look at.

I would love to have a pair of these floral platforms.
They would be perfect for any summer outfit.

These are the 'slant shoes' made by YSL.
They are a bit daring and edgy but I think the wedge makes them a lot easier to walk and stand in.

Hope you enjoyed the shoe candy.

Fringe+Black+Gray

I recently took these shots of an outfit I wore a while back.
This outfit is super easy, comfortable and basic which is what I'm all about. The outfit consists of a gray tee, black pipe leg jeans, a blazer and boots.

The key to simple outfits is to incorporate accessories in order to jazz the outfit up, so to speak.
I've worn necklaces that i have picked up through the years that add an element of sparkle, a fringe sling bag which my sister got me for Christmas some years ago and finally round shaped glasses which I've been looking for for some time now and finally found.
I first fell in love with round framed glasses when I saw them on Nicole Richie and the Olsen twins.
Round framed sunglasses add a different element and look to the face,  I love them and think they look really chic and cute!

So... there you have it.

Much love!!
